The Road to the California State Games begins with the 2023 California high school baseball season. With the season just around the corner, our staff has begun putting out team previews from all around the state, getting you prepared for another year of exciting coverage.

Today we focus on the South Hills Huskies who are coming off a 23-5 season that resulted in a Hacienda League Title. The Huskies are bringing back five starters and are looking to build off last season’s success with a deep playoff run.

Team Expectations:

"We should be pretty good offensively and in the infield. We have some really nice arms, but inexperienced at varsity level. We do have our ace Sterling Patick back. He's one of the better arms in SoCal. He will have us in every game with anyone on our schedule. He's that good."

 "We are very good at the top 1/2 of the lineup with D1 commits Marcos Rosales, Paul Vazquez, and Noah Malone."

Areas of Improvement:

"We will go how our 2-4 pitchers go for the season."
