NORCAL PLAYER OF THE WEEK

LOS ANGELES, CALIF. - With tournaments taking place all across the state, players were afforded the opportunity to put up stat lines with a lot of plate appearances due to the volume of games. Because of the amount of standout performances each week, choosing one player for the weekly honor was quite difficult, as it always is. 

Congratulations are in order for 2023 SS JP Acosta of Buchanan HS as he has been selected as the NorCal Player of the Week for the week of April 3rd - April 8th, 2023.

The Long Beach State commit had quite the week at the Fresno Easter Classic. The switch-hitting Acosta is always depended upon for his stellar and exciting defense in the middle of the diamond and as the weather heats up, his bat sure has as well. When the dust settled after the final game was played by Buchanan, Acosta was a robust 9-for-13, with five doubles, seven runs scored, six RBI, while also reaching base three times via base on balls.
