St. Mary's College, Moraga, CA - Select players from the 2020-2023 classes were invited to the event taking part in the pro-style workout with PBR scouts on hand to evaluate players and record their stats while going through the workout. It was a deep group of talent with lots of players showcasing tools that should push them to the next level. Today we put the focus on the Outfielder position from the group.

OUTFIELDERS

2020 OF Max Porter (St. Francis) - 5-8, 165, R/R
Medium, full and strong frame with width in the chest showing current muscle and athletic actions including fast feet (6.76 60 yd). Slight bend in the knees with feet towards each other slightly keeping hands deep at back shoulder and high back elbow; rocks weight into back hip with high front foot lift allowing him to work behind the baseball. Barrel has a compact turn working on slightly upwards path through the zone with strength in the wrists (91 EV); able to drive deep into the pull gap and flashes some HR potential to the pullside. Has made big jumps with his defense especially with the arm. Attacks the ball with aggressive streak helping to create momentum on the move. Arm was very quick and compact keeping throws online with easy life; future plus arm with multiple throws over 90 MPH (T-95 MPH).
