7/24/19

NCA Top Prospect ID - Medium, full and strong frame with width in the chest showing current muscle and athletic actions including fast feet (6.76 60 yd). Slight bend in the knees with feet towards each other slightly keeping hands deep at back shoulder and high back elbow; rocks weight into back hip with high front foot lift allowing him to work behind the baseball. Barrel has a compact turn working on slightly upwards path through the zone with strength in the wrists (91 EV); able to drive deep into the pull gap and flashes some HR potential to the pullside. Has made big jumps with his defense especially with the arm. Attacks the ball with aggressive streak helping to create momentum on the move. Arm was very quick and compact keeping throws online with easy life; future plus arm with multiple throws over 90 MPH (T-95 MPH).

3/02/19

3/2/19 - vs De La Salle - Smaller compact body type but well-proportioned, hit in the 3-hole and reached twice via BB, also showed a strong arm in pre-game and there are some tools present. He resembles a 2nd baseman more than a corner outfielder.

2/20 vs Los Gatos - jumped out to me during his first AB where he busted out of the box to beat the turn on a double play and start the offense for the Lancers in the 1st inning. He’s a compact, full frame showing strength throughout with wide rolled shoulder and quick feet that translates to game speed (4.07-4.33 H-1st, 4.45 on the Turn). He showed off that speed in RF where he was able to track down a ball into the gap and come get a screaming liner to prevent any damage. His arm has enough for RF being compact and keeping balls online to the bases. At the plate he stands balanced with a slight bend in the knees keeping even hands. He uses a quick knee tuck and a short, quick bat path. He doubled into the right-center gap during his 2nd AB before getting hit in his 3rd and just missing an infield single on a routine ball to the 3rd baseman in his last AB. Look for him to be a lock for the middle of the lineup this season and someone to follow this spring.

7/17/18 - Upperclass Tourney - Lively young body, athletic kid, some explosiveness, aggressive hitter, fast and quick hands, good balance even with a bit of a big swing, good separation, extra base pop to pullside, aggressive baserunner but maybe little too aggressive, does look to advance on balls in dirt, will pressure a defense
