Our weekly Diamond Notes will highlight players that were nominated for our weekly SoCal Player of the Week award and narrowly missed out on that honor. However, because of their efforts during the last week we want to highlight them here.

Below is a list of Top Performers for the week of March12-18:

Kevin Rivera (Hoover HS): The freshman was 4-for-4 with 4 RBI and 2 runs scored to lead Hoover to victory over Orange Glen. Rivera is hitting .500 in the early part of the season.

Zach Jacobs (San Dimas HS): threw a complete game shutout with 8 strikeouts, no walks, and scattered 4 hits while hitting a batter against cross town rival Bonita. Jacobs improves his season record to 2-1 with an era of .32 in 22 innings pitched - 19 K's 0 walks. 3 CG's and 2 Shutouts.

Lucca Catallo (Palos Verdes HS): PItched 7 innings with 8 strikeouts.

Nathan Wilson (Fountain Valley HS): 7 IP (75 pitches), 0 ER, 4 K, 1 BB, 2 hits

Merrick Baldo (Mira Costa HS): The Loyola Marymount commit threw 5 innings allowing 2 hits 1 walk while striking out 8 in his shutout in the El Segundo Champ game. Went 1 1/3 0 runs and 1 k for the save in the semis against Serra.

Kenny Aceves (Village Christian School): Hitting .575 on the season and had a double

Cameron Repetti (Cypress HS): For the week, the Cal State Fullerton commit had 2 singles, a home run, 3 RBI and raised his average to .429 on the season.

Jordan Good (Santa Margarita HS): Hit for the Cycle on Thursday vs CVCS going 4-6 with 4 RBI. He is currently hitting .462 with HR, 2 3B, and 8 RBIs in 5 games this season.

Eugene Jeon (La Mirada HS): The uncommitted sophomore was 5-for-7 with 3 home runs, a double, and 5 RBI in a double header sweep of Lakewood.

Caden Aoki (Edison HS): As a reliever, the freshman threw 2.1 scoreless innings last week including a 3 out save vs Mater Dei while coming in with the bases loaded up 7-5. Struck out 2 of the 3.

Caden Kendle (Edison HS): was 4-for- 11, with 2 2B, 4 R, 2 RBI.

Adam Armstrong (Glendora HS): Threw 7 innings of 2 hit baseball with 6 strikeouts vs Ayala taking a no decision in an extra innings game.

Blaine Traxel (Alemany HS): Threw a complete game shutout scattering 4 hits and striking out 6 in a 3-0 win against Chaminade. On the season, Traxel is 2-1, with 3 complete games, 1 run (unearned).

Korey Shepard (Valley View HS): Threw a complete game against La Quinta High School in the championship game of the Redlands Baseball Invitational scattering 4 hits, allowing 2 runs (1 earned), striking out 3 while only walking 1. He also went 1 for 2 at the plate with an RBI.

Brandon Roberto (Villa Park HS): In two games, the senior was 2-for-5 with a Double, 2 RBIs, and 2 runs scored, OBP .500 OPS 1.100

Grady Touhy (Villa Park HS): In two games the senior was 4-for-5 with a double and 2 runs scored and a walk, OBP .833 OPS 1.833

Cian Costigan (Oak Hills HS): Cian went 7-11, with 3 doubles and a home run. He drove in 9 runs and scored 5 runs. His average for the week was .636. His overall average is .583.

Creede Jeffers (Ramona HS) The senior righty threw a no-hitter against Bonita that included 16 strikeouts in a 12-0 Bulldogs win. This outing came after he got the win against Rancho Bernardo in which he had 10 strikeouts the week before.

Marc Lidd (Crean Lutheran HS): The senior went 5-for-12 with 3 HR's and 7 RBI is 4 games against some of the top teams in Arizona at the Horizon Invitational.

Thomas Parker (Heritage HS): Parker was 5-for-6 with 2 doubles, 2 triples, 3 RBI's, 6 runs scored last week raising his season average to .526.

Dawson Netz (Maranatha): The junior pitcher threw a no-hitter with 13 strikeouts, 0 BB's while also going 2-for-4 at the plate with double.

Max Foxcroft (Mater Dei HS): The senior Oregon commit was 4-for-10 with two singles, a double, a triple and 2 runs scored in the Monarchs opening week of action.

Caleb Ramos (La Habra HS): The uncommitted senior was 5-for-7 with 4 singles, a double, 3 RBI, 1 BB, raising his season average to .714.

Josh Valencia (La Habra HS): The uncommitted seniors righty threw 6 innings scattering 3 hits while not allowing a run or a walk and striking out 4 batters.

Troy Melton (Foothill HS): The San Diego State commit threw 7 innings striking out 5 and allowing 1 earned run in a complete game win over El Dorado. He was also 2-for-5 with an RBI at the plate.

Scott Armstrong (Woodbridge HS): The senior righty threw a complete game shutout against Irvine in which he allowed 2 hits and struck out 4 batters. For the season he is 3-0, 9 H, 1.00 ERA, with a .619 WHIP.

Darius Garcia (Gahr HS): The senior lefty threw a complete game shutout of El Toro on the road. The UC Irvine signee scattered 5 hits, struck out 8 and walked only 1 in an 86 pitch complete game.
