Top-10 Profiles of 2019: No. 5 Brady House

Phil Kerber
Georgia Scouting Director

One of the top players in the country, Tennessee commit Brady House (Winder-Barrow, 2021) comes in as the No. 5 most viewed profile of 2019, and for good reason. House comes in as the top ranked prospect in Georgia and No. 4 nationally. A feared right-handed hitter, House stands a formidable 6-foot-3, 217-pounds with easy strength throughout his frame and superior athleticism. Even more impressive is the fact that House has turned himself into a true two-way standout. With all his strength he is able to reach the mid-90s with heavy sink on his fastball.

Still only a junior, House will only continue to add strength and speed to his overall game making what he could become a truly terrifying sight for any opposition. It will come to no ones surprise when the 2021 MLB Draft comes around if House has his name called early in the first round.

Scouting Report

The 6-foot-3, 200-pound House is a tough one to nail down, because he is so young and big for the position.  Much of his future will be determined by what his body does and the work he puts in. Sky is the limit for this kid.  Plenty of arm for the position and has the footwork. Actions will stick as long as he maintains the range and body type needed.  The freshman has the offensive tools to profile at a corner position if he were to outgrow his current spot.  House shows plenty of bat speed and raw power, whistling the bat through the zone.   His approach appears pull-oriented at this time, hitting out of a wider base while remaining athletic gives himself a chance to stay back.  Also a standout on the mound, he may be asked to pull double duty in the future.
