The Chicagoland Open took place on Sunday, August 20 at Triton College in River Grove, IL. Prospects from all classes participated in a pro-style workout in front on the PBR Scouting Staff. Today, we start the event analysis with a stats story.

TOP 60 YARD DASH TIMES
Bobby Grimes (Nazareth) set the standard at the 60, running a 6.78. Grimes was one of five prospects to run a sub-7.00 60. Anthony Livermore (Mount Carmel) and Graham Radabaugh (Geneva) followed up Grimes at 6.82 and 6.86.

TOP FASTBALL VELOCITY
Radabaugh and Nick Bonk (Stevenson) had the top fastball velocities at 88 and 86 mph, respectively. The top left-handed pitcher velocity came from Dan Balzhiser (Plainfield East), who touched 84 mph, third best at the event.

TOP EXIT VELOCITY
Joseph Marcucci (Rolling Meadows) showed some juice at the plate, recording a 90 mph exit velocity. A slew of prospects came in at 89 and 88 mph, but it was Marcucci who was the only one to achieve a 90 mph exit velocity. Radabaugh showed that his arm stregnth also translates to the plate with an 89 mph exit velocity.

Across the infield, it was Michael Patterson (Prairie Ridge) and Tucker Cole (Dixon) who impressed the most with velocities of 85 and 84 mph, respectively.
