After spending Opening Weekend of The Scouting Trail driving back and forth on I-40 between Wake Forest and North Carolina State Universities, I decided to scout at just a single location in Week Two. No. 153 Connor Thomas, LHP, Georgia Tech- Medium framed at 5-foot-11, 175 pounds, Thomas is a high pitchability lefty with a great feel. Repeats an athletic delivery with a full arm path to a three-quarter slot. He’s a coach’s dream; works quick, competes, holds runners, quick to the plate, mixes pitches and throws strikes with all of them. Fastball peaked at 89, sitting 86-88 mph.
