HIGH SCHOOL DRAFT 100 PROSPECTS
Alek Thomas, OF, Mount Carmel HS, IL (Texas Christian)
Zaid Walker, OF, Homewood-Flossmoor HS, IL (Michigan State)
Jacob Maton, RHP, Chatham-Glenwood HS, IL (Coastal Carolina)

OTHERS TO WATCH: RHP Francois Castillo (Lake View HS, IL) began focusing as a primary pitcher within the past year and was one of the biggest revelations at the Super 60 in February. Castillo sat 93-94 mph and flashed a hard-biting curveball. Castillo is an Eastern Illinois recruit. LHP Antoine Kelly (Maine East HS, IL) has long been an intriguing arm and created a lot of buzz around the state with his last start of the spring. He sat 91-94, touching 95 while pitching to both sides of the plate and at the knees. LHP Nathan Lavender (El Paso-Gridley HS, IL) was another arm to put himself on the map with his performance at the Super 60. The Illinois recruit has a lightning quick arm and can run his fastball into the low 90s. Other names that have drawn interest this spring include OF Dakota Kotowski (Providence Catholic HS, IL), LHP Ben Cruikshank (Belleville East HS, IL), IF Jacob Plastiak (Andrew HS, IL) and RHP Hayden Juenger (O’Fallon HS, IL).
