Team Missouri went 1-2 at the Futures Games over the weekend, defeating Tennessee and dropping games to Team Select and Kentucky. 

The following is a brief look at each of the 21 Prospects on the Missouri roster and their performance at the event.

TEAM MISSOURI

Jackson Caley, C, Pleasant Hill HS, 2018
Caley is a 5-foot-10 174-pound right handed hitting catcher.  He ran a 7.68 60 and had pop times of 2.07 to 2.11 during the workout.  He had a positional velo of 72 mph and an exit velo of 86 mph.  Drew a walk and hit a sac-fly in win over Tennessee.

Forrest Barnes, RHP, Ozark HS, 2018
Athletic, lean build with a loose, quick arm featuring a fastball that mostly sat 85-86 mph with some life along with a 64-66 mph curveball and a 75-77 mph change up.

Dominic Cusumano, SS, Westminster HS, 2018
Cusumano ran a 7.22 60 and had a positional velo of 81 mph on the infield during the workout on Thursday.  He posted an 88 mph exit velo.  Cusumano singled against Team Select 

Jimmy Schork, LHP, Rockwood Summit HS, 2018
Schork struck out two hitters in his two innings of work.  He topped at 86 mph with fastball working 81-85 mph.  His breaking ball has slurve-type action at 71-73 mph, a swing an miss pitch.  He has smooth tempo in his delivery, coming from a three-quarters arm slot.  Schork has a quick arm and hide the ball well. 

Kirby Connell, LHP/OF, Butler HS, 2019  
Connell posted a 92 mph exit velo and ran an 8.01 60.  From the outfield he was 82 mph with accurate throws.  During game action, he collected a single to left field against Kentucky.  On the mound, The 6-foot, 175-pound left-hander has a clean and easy arm from a high-¾ slot with a fastball that sat in the low 80s, struck out two. 

Gage Dwyer, OF, Fort Zumalt South HS, 2018
Dwyer has an exit velo of 85 mph and a positional velo of 83 mph on Thursday’s workout.  He ran a 7.24 60.  He had a single and walk against Team Select.

Brice Pannier, OF, Smith Cotton HS, 2018
During Thursday’s workout, Pannier ran a 7.33 60 and had an exit velo of 90 mph.  He had a 78 mph positional velo from the outfield. He reached base with a hit-by-pitch against Kentucky and singled against Team Select, and singled to center against Tennessee

Alex Adams, SS, Lafayette HS, 2018
Adams posted one of the best 60 times for Team Missouri at 6.97-seconds.  He was 84 mph across the infield and registered an 88 mph exit velo.  Against Team Select, Adams tripled and was hit by a pitch.  Against Kentucky, A lean 6-foot-1 185 pounds he made all of the plays he had the opportunity to make ranging to his glove side to make a very solid play up the middle. Offensively he had a balanced set-up with a short level swing which resulted in a single to left field.  On the mound, Adams worked 79-82 mph with his fastball, earing one strikeout during his inning of work.  He flashed an 11-to-5 breaking ball at 69-73 mph and a change up at 76-77 mph. 

Jonathan Reese, SS, Rolla HS, 2018
6-foot-1, 185 pounds with a lean, athletic, projectable build. Showed some good actions while playing SS and displayed a strong and accurate arm from across the diamond, posted an 82 mph positional velo and an 89 mph exit velo.  He ran a 7.05 60.  Reeces reached base with hit-by-pitch against Team Select and made a nice play at SS on a ball up the middle.  On the mound, Reese was 83-84 mph with his fastball and 68 mph with is breaking ball.

Cole Schroeder, LHP, CBC HS, 2019
Schroeder committed to Missouri State shortly after the event.  He touched 85 with his fastball, working comfortably at 83-85 mph.  He has a sharp and late breaking curveball at 75-76 mph.  Schroeder comes from a high three-quarters arm slot and throws with regular effort.  He is 6-foot-2, 180 pounds with a quick arm and a projectable build. Gathers himself and repeats well.  Mixed up his pitches well.

Kole Ficken, 3B, Boonvillen HS, 2018
Ficken has a 94 mph exit velo and ran a 7.28 60.  On the infield, he had an 80 mph positional velo.  During game action, he drew a walk against Team Select

Nicholas Schmidt, Wentzville-Holt HS, 2018
Schmidt had Team Missouri’s top infield velo at 87 mph and had a 91 mph exit velo.  Schmidt singled thorugh the hole at SS and scored against Team Select. He ran a 7.62 60.  On the mound, Schmidt works downhill with late running action on fastball that worked 81-85, touching 86 mph.  Breaking ball was sharp at times, 11-to-5 action, 74-77 mph.  Change up at 76. 

Reid Hendrickson, 3B/RHP, Edwardsville (IL) HS, 2018
Hendrickson has an 84 mph exit velo and a 76 mph positional velo.  He ran a 7.60 60 during the workouts.  On the mound, the 6-foot-1 170-pound right-handed pitcher sat 81-83 mph with his fastball and was effective with a change up at 75-77 mph, with arm side run.

Brett Gonzales, OF, Roll HS,  2018
The 6-foot 205-pound outfielder ran a team best 6.72 60 and posted a 93 mph exit velo. He was 86 mph from the outfield with mostly accurate throws.  The physical and athletic 6-foot, 205-pound Gonzalez has an aggressive approach at the plate, showing bat speed and strength in his hands. He delivered a pair of hits in the game and also swiped a base. Gonzales singled and scored against Team Select and drew a walk against Kentucky. Singled and scored against Tennessee

Kurtis Byrne, C, CBC HS, 2019
Bryne, committed to Indiana shortly after the event, had pop times of 2.00-2.04-seconds.  His 80 mph positional velo was among the best of the event.  Bryne registered a team-high 96 mph exit velo and ran a 7.79 60.  Walked against Team Select.  

Tommy Williams, OF, Lafayette HS, 2018
Williams a physical 6-foot-1 225-pound right-handed hitting outfielder ran a 7.38 60 and had an exit velo of 94 mph.  He was 83 mph from the outfield during the workout.  Williams singled against Team Select and singled to left and walked against Kentucky.  Against Tennessee he singled, drove in a run and scored. 

Luke Mann, RHP, Vianey HS, 2018
The 6-foot-2, 200-pound right-hander had a solid two-inning outing, working mostly off his 84-87 mph fastball. He also flashed a 68-69 mph breaking ball. Struck out three in two innings of work, two looking. 

James Perry, OF, Liberty North HS, 2018
Perry registered a 91 mph exit velo from the right side and ran a 7.29 60.  He was 85 mph from the outfield with accurate throws.  During game action, Perry drew a walk against and made solid contact to left side of the field against Team Select. 

Zack Hunsicker, RHP, Francis Howell HS, 2018
Hunsicker ran a 7.82 60 and had an exit velo of 89 mph.  He had a 79 mph positional velo on the infield.  In game action, he picked up an RBI on a ground ball to second and singled to right against Kentucky and walked against Team Select. Doubled against Tennessee. On the mound, big body standing at 6-foot-5, 230 pounds that featured a fastball that sat 82-84 mph touching 85 with some downward tilt. Also mixed in a slider that 73-76 mph with some depth.

Chase Krogman, LHP/OF, Liberty-Wentzville HS, 2019
The 5-foot-10, 200-pound Krogman is a legitimate two-way recruit, but on Friday he showcased his pitching ability. His fastball topped at 81 mph with arm-side run.Krogman showed aggressive actions in the outfield and at the plate during evals on Thursday.  He was 84 mph from the outfield and had an 85 mph exit velo.  He ran a 7.15 60.  He walked against Team Select and

Garrett Presko, RHP, Pembroke Hill HS, 2018
An athletic 6-foot-2 185 pounds throwing from a 3/4 arm slot with a quick arm action which generated a fastball ranging from 85-87 mph. He also threw a slider that ranged from 76-79 mph which had tight spin and depth. He struck out three batters in his two innings of work.
