No. 10 Prairie Ridge Rolls to Victory Over Grant

CRYSTAL LAKE, IL- No. 10 Prairie Ridge jumped out to an early lead in it’s 10-0 five inning victory over Grant on Wednesday afternoon.

Prairie Ridge jumped out in the bottom of the first scoring two unearned runs off Grant Starter Sam Fernandez. In the bottom of the second the Wolves  sent eight men to the plate scoring four times highlighted by a two run single from Chris Slack giving them a 6-0 lead.

In the bottom of the fourth James Mikolajczewski and Dutin Thelander singled with one out and both came around to score on a sac fly by Cal Aldridge and a single from Connor Schneider. Schneider eventually came around to score on a double by Jacob Carpentier giving the Wolves a 9-0 lead. 

With two outs in the bottom of the fifth Dustin Thelander drove in Hunter Martin for the walk off run rule victory.

John Tieman fired a three hitter for the Wolves while striking out seven in the complete game effort. 

Prairie Ridge improves to 31-5 on the season and moves on to play the winner of Crystal Lake South vs. McHenry on Saturday at 1 PM.
