Clearly the best catcher at the ProCase in June, Ferri shined both during the workout portion and in game play. The Arizona State recruit has a slender 5-foot-11, 180-pound frame, but is wiry strong. A top-level receiver with advanced, highly athletic feet, Ferri was clocked at 82 mph from the crouch while firing consistent 1.87-1.93 strikes during the workout. He also threw a 1.97 pop time the game. Offensively, Ferri has a balanced, simple approach with quick hands and his bat stays flat through the zone longer than most of his peers. Simply put, Ferri has a knack for barreling up baseballs.
