The Top Prospect-Chicago Showcase is coming to Silver Cross Field in Joliet, IL on Thursday June 15th. The Top Prospect Showcase is one of the summer’s most heavily attended events in Illinois. Since 2007, this event has drawn between 70-100 colleges from across the country. This is an invite-only event and is exclusive to the top 2018 prospects in Illinois and Wisconsin.

Last years event featured 115 prospects, 96 of which are committed to colleges. CLICK HERE for the top prospects list from last years event.

This years event features some high-upside arms in Nate Gomez (South Elgin), Andrew Hoffman (Plainfield East) and Antoine Kelly (Maine East).

Hoffman is a projectable 6-foot-4, 170-pound right-handed pitcher who we have seen up to 87 mph.

Some of the top position players to watch are Jake Zylman (St. Rita), Cam Redding (New Trier), Andrew Wilhite (Stillman Valley) Ryan Howe (Prospect), Christian Lucio (Mount Carmel), Ryan Patel (Mundelein), and D’Eric Shenault (Kenwood) among others.

Redding is a right-handed hitting catcher who hit over .400 this spring and helped lead New Trier to a fourth-place finish in Class 4A.
