On Wednesday, June 23, the PBR Illinois staff hosted the Underclass Trials - South Showcase at Ozinga Field in Crestwood. The event was open to players in the classes of 2023, 2024 and 2025. The event served as an identifier to select, invite events like the Underclass Games and All-State Games, among others.  The event featured around 25 prospects spanning on grad classes.

We began the analysis of the event by taking a look at the position players. We conclude the event coverage with an in-depth analysis of the 12 arms from the day. 

One of the more intriguing arms on the day was incoming sophomore, RHP Jaden Harmon (St. Charles North, 2024). The 5-foot-11, 150-pound, right-hander has a loose, easy, athletic arm and ran his fastball up to 80 mph. Harmon also showed the makings of an above-average three-pitch mix with advanced feel for his changeup with sink and fade down in the zone at 71-72 mph.
