Unsigned Senior Showcase Preview: Scott Cappis

The Unsigned Senior Showcase is coming October 11 to The Max in McCook, IL. This event will bring several of the top uncommitted seniors from the state of Illinois to workout. Over the coming weeks, as we lead up to the event, we will preview several of the top players scheduled to be in attendance.

Scouting Report: 8.7.15 - 6-foot-1, 195-pound right-handed hitting infielder boasts a physical frame with soft hands and quick feet in the infield. In game play, Cappis made countless plays, showcasing his range with a variety of opportunities from backhands to slow rollers. Light on his feet with a quick release, threw 79mph from across the diamond and made every play throughout the weekend. Hits from a closed, balanced set up, hands above the ear, short stride. Showed advanced bat speed with a 91 mph exit velocity. In game swung the bat with authority, and showed patience going 1-3 with a walk. Flashed the quick twitch with back to back stolen bases in game play. Ran a 7.83 60. Projects well as high level defensive third baseman, glove and arm will play.
