Unsigned Senior Showcase - Chicago: Statistical Analysis

The Unsigned Senior Showcase - Chicago took place on Sunday, October 8 at the MAX in McCook, IL. Over 120 unsigned seniors participated in a pro-style workout in front of the PBR Illinois Scouting Staff. Today, we start the event anaylsis with a look at the top statistical performers.

Luke Seidel (Fremd) posted the top 60 time, running a blistering fast 6.56. In total, eight prospects managed to record sub-7.00 second 60 times.
On the mound, some impressive uncommitted arms were in attendance led by Matthew Helwig (Lincoln-Way Central) and Luke Lamm (Plainfield East), both who topped out at 87 mph.
At the plate, Robbie Dudzinski (Kaneland) and Bryce Burton (Marmion) showed off their strength, coming away with 92 mph exit velocities off a tee. Five prospects were able to post an exit velocity of 90 mph oir greater.
Looking at the top performers in the tables above and the one below, there are quite a few familiar names.
Andrew Schimmoler (Oswego) had one of the top fastballs and exit velocities and continued to show well by posting the top infield velocity at 84 mph.
Bryce Burton (Marmion) and
Bobby Grimes (Nazareth) are no strangers either, Burton the top exit velocity and Grimes a top 60 time, both were clocked at 83 mph across the infield.
Sean Hebreard (Plainfield East) and Tommy Nelson (St. Charles North) were tops amongst the outfiedlers in regards to arm strength, topping out at 89 mph. Bryce Burton (Marmion) makes yet another appearnce, coming in at 87 mph.
Statistically speaking, Bobby Grimes (Nazareth) was the top catcher in attendance, posting the best pop time at 2.04 seconds to go along with his top catcher velocity of 81 mph. Chase Grasso (McHenry West) trailed Grimes in both categories, recording a 2.08 pop time and being clocked at 79 mph.
