This Sunday, October 1st, the PBR Illinois team is hosting the Unsigned Senior Showcase at The MAX in McCook, Ill. This is an open event for all uncommitted seniors, and gives our staff an ample look at the area's top players.

ROSTER

This year's roster is already shaping up nicely, just like in years past.

LHP Luca Fiore (Nazareth) is currently ranked No. 90 in Illinois’ senior class. Standing at 5-foot-10, 175-pounds, Fiore has some present athleticism in his frame. The southpaw has minimal effort in his delivery with a deceptive low 3/4 slot. At the Illinois State Games in August, Fiore ran his fastball up to 86.5 mph, sitting 80-85 mph. His slider sits in the low-to-mid-70s with a 2/8 plane break and sharper actions. Rounding out his arsenal, Fiore throws a low-70s changeup with 12.3” of horizontal movement, on average. The uncommitted Fiore will give us an updated look this Sunday.

C/INF Dasaan Lee (De LaSalle) stands in a strong 6-foot, 210-pound frame. He was a recent standout at the Illinois State Games in August where he boasted a peak bat speed of 78.8 mph. Lee was a big producer throughout the gameplay of the event, regularly sending the ball to all fields. During the winter, he took an impressive round of BP where he was all over the barrel, peppering baseballs at an average of 90.3 mph with a max of 95.7 mph. Ranked No. 79 in the class, Lee will give our staff an ample opportunity to get one last look before the spring.

Perusing the event roster, we’re set to meet a majority of players who’ve not yet attended a PBR showcase, and we’re eager to add more names to our follow lists.

EVENT CHECK-IN PROCESS

Because of the high number of prospects set to attend Sunday’s event, it is imperative that you read our adjusted showcase itinerary below, which will allow our staff to swiftly and efficiently educate and evaluate the players set to attend.

Additionally, in an effort to continue and develop contactless check-in strategies, upon arrival, players will scan a QR Code with their smart phone camera that will lead them to a Google Form. On that Form, players will enter their name (matching the spelling on their PBR profile) and hit submit. Upon submission, players will be prompted to click a link that will direct them to their jersey color and number, located next to their registered name.
