Unsigned Senior Showcase Spotlight: RHP Kai Formella

On Jan. 12, at The MAX sports facility in McCook, Ill., PBR will be hosting the winter's Unsigned Senior Showcase. You can find registration information within the previous hyperlink, but we’ll use this post today, as well as the posts following this one leading up to this week’s event, to shine the light on a few of the attending prospects who merit specific mentioning.
RHP Kai Formella (York) is set to attend Sunday's event. The last time we saw Formella it was two years ago at the Lockport Preseason I.D. At the event, Formella showed a loose arm and ran his fastball up to 82 mph. It will be interesting to see what kind of improvements the right-hander has made over the past couple of years.
