On Oct. 7, at The MAX sports facility in McCook, Ill., PBR will be hosting the fall’s Unsigned Senior Showcase. You can find registration information within the previous hyperlink, but we’ll use this post today, as well as the posts following this one leading up to this week’s event, to shine the light on a few of the attending prospects who merit specific mentioning.

We got our first live and up-close look at RHP Ryan Mintz (Willowbrook, 2019) in February of 2017 at the Lockport Preseason I.D. where his fastball sat in the 80 mph range with work-in-progress off-speed to go along with it. Mintz added three inches to his wiry frame over the last year and a half and as a result his stuff has benefited. The 6-foot-3, 160-pound prospect was up to 86 mph with heavy run at August's Senior Games. His breaking ball continues to sharpen and develop into a go-to secondary offering. His overall development and recent up-tick in velocity makes him an intriguing rising senior this recruiting season.
