There have been four players named the Porsche Exchange Player of the Week so far this season. This past week’s winner was St. Ignatius senior outfielder Dylan Gilbert. For the week, Gilbert went 12-for-16, with two homeruns, a triple, four doubles, seven runs, nine runs batted in and four stolen bases. Click Here to read about Gilbert’s early season success.

Several players narrowly missed out on winning the award this week. Let’s take a look at some of the players around the state who put up impressive numbers last week:

WEEK 4

Bryce Gray, C, Homewood-Flossmoor, 2016
Notre Dame recruit. In three games last week, Gray went 7-for-9 (.778), two doubles, a homerun and six runs batted in.

Peyton Dillingham, SS/RHP, Normal West, 2017
In three game last week, went 8-for-11 (.727), three doubles, two triples, homerun, five runs scored and five runs batted in.

Tom Olson, P/1B, Richards, 2017
In 5 games last week Olson hit .462 (6 for 13) with four runs batted in, three runs scored, and a stolen base.  He also hit .556 with runners in scoring position. He also got a win on the mound vs. Evergreen Park on Wednesday. Final Line – 5IP, 0ER, 4H, 5K, 4BB. On the season Olson is 10-for-24 at the plate with five runs batted in, eight runs scored and two stolen bases. Olson’s season totals on the mound are as follows: (1-1), 13.1IP, 11H, 3ER, 9K and 9BB.

Drew Demumbrum, OF/ LHP, Plainfield East, 2016
Oakland recruit. On the week went 6-for-16, two homeruns, six runs batted in, six runs and two walks at the plate. On the mound, went 1-0 with a complete game shutout over No. 16 Plainfield South.

Daylon Pienkowski, RHP, Oak Forest, 2016
Threw a perfect game against TF North on April 12. He went five innings and struck out six. Pienkowski is 1-0 on the year.

Mitch Hunter, RHP, Lincoln-Way North, 2016
Uncommitted. Threw yet another complete game last week, his second of three in a row, this time in a 6-0 victory over Ripley. Final line from the outing – 7IP, 5H, 0R, 2BB and 4K.

Brett Whelton, C, St. Francis, 2016
McNeese State recruit. In five St. Francis wins last week, Whelton went 9-for-17, homerun, three doubles, nine runs batted in and no strikeouts. Also, threw out four runners from behind the plate.

Brandon Skopick, SS, Lincoln-Way East, 2016
Uncommitted. Hit safely in all five games last week. On Tuesday, against Providence, Skopick went 3-for-4, with two runs batted in and a stolen base. For the week, went 9-for-16, triple, double, three stolen bases and is currently riding a six game hitting streak.

Bradley Harrison, LHP/1B, O’Fallon, 2016
Southern Illinois recruit. Picked up a win on the mound last week against Edwardsville who was ranked No. 6 at the time. Harrison went six innings, no earned runs, a walk, struck out eight and scattered five hits.

Camden Bauer, SS, O’Fallon, 2016
Alabama recruit. In four games last week Bauer went 6-for-9 with two doubles, seven runs scored, three walks and one run batted in.

Ranko Stevanovic, 3B, Niles Notre Dame, 2016
Uncommitted. So far this season is hitting 14-for-22 (.636) with seven runs batted in, 11 runs scored and six stolen bases.

Matt Segovia, 2B, Niles Notre Dame, 2016
Dominican University commit. Started off the year 11-for-21 (.524) with five doubles, triple, home run, 13 runs batted in and seven runs scored.
