2024 ROSTER
This year's roster is already shaping up nicely, just like in years past.
SS Kyle Ziebell (Harvest Christian, 2026) is ranked No. 91 in Illinois's 2026 class and will look to improve his stock Tuesday. In past events, the middle-infielder has presented a 5-foot-10, 152-pound frame with solid tools. At the plate, the right-handed hitter has shown a narrow stance with a leg-lift trigger that works with a quick flat swing and an aggressive line-drive approach. Defensively, the rising junior has shown active footwork and is quick to release.
C Derrick Pomatto (Joliet Catholic, 2027) is someone we have already seen this summer at Top Tier Scout Day and now looks to give our staff another look in this smaller setting open event. The rising sophomore has shown an intriguing all-around profile as a solid defensive backstop with a solid right-handed hitting profile. Behind the plate, Pomatto has shown clean transfers that have resulted in poptimes as low as 1.97 seconds. With a strong 5-foot-11, 205-pound frame, the right-handed hitter has produced exit velocities up to 92.1 mph.
SS Gavin Hartigan (Nazareth Academy, 2028) is a name our staff saw at the 13/14U Rock Championship earlier this summer, offering an intriguing 5-foot-9, 150-pound frame. Defensively, the rising freshman showed natural actions at shortstop with fluid footwork. At the plate, the right-handed hitter stands in a closed-off stance and utilizes above-average bat speed to drive the baseball. Hartigan also showed above-average speed out of the box. He should be a name to follow at the showcase as our staff sees how his toolset translates in such a setting.
Perusing the event roster, we’re set to meet a majority of players who’ve not yet attended a PBR showcase, and we’re eager to add more names to our follow lists.
