On Tuesday, June 16th, our staff traveled to the Eastside Sports Center in Peoria, IL for the Peoria Summer ID. This event was host to around 30 players, and allowed our staff an up-close and personal look at some of the talent the area has to offer. 

Today, we are continuing our post-event content with a look at the pitchers from the day, found below. 

RHP Alex Hurie (Normal University, 2030) and RHP Sawyer Matthews (Galesburg, 2029) are a pair of underclassmen that will be high follows in the coming years. 

Hurie, a 6-foot, 172-pound right-hander, showed one of the best fastballs in attendance up to 84 mph despite only being an incoming freshman at the time. 

Matthews is a clean moving right-hander in his own right with a projectable 6-foot-2 frame, topping out at around 78 mph with more velocity to come. 

RHP Hunter Lusher (Delavan, 2028) is another arm worth mentioning from the day, pounding the zone with a fastball up to 80 mph, a cutter in the mid-70s and a curveball with 11/5 bite at 69-70 mph.
