EVENT ROSTER
This year’s event roster is shaping up nicely, just like in year’s past.
A trio of Illinois State Games participants are making their way to The MAX this weekend in RHP Tadgh Callaghan (Brother Rice), C Collin Roche (Nazareth), and OF Ian Hazelip (Lincoln-Way West).
Callaghan is a strong right-handed arm that stands in a 5-foot-11, 200-pound frame. He showcased a fastball up to 87 mph. He also turned to a low-70s curveball with an average of -13.2 inches of horizontal movement (T-20.2”), and a mid-to-upper-70s change-up with slight fade to the arm-side.
Roche, stands in an upside frame with seemingly more strength to come at 6-foot-2, 184-pounds. He’s a right-handed hitter at the plate that showed some easy power at the plate, producing a max exit velocity of 98.5 mph and a max batted distance of 377 feet. Also a 6.86 runner, Roche posted a 1.97 pop time and an 80 mph catcher velocity.

MIF Tyler Trapp (Lane Tech) is an intriguing prospect in the senior class that our staff is excited to get an updated look at. He was mentioned in last week’s edition of ‘The Hotlist’, where our staff was asked to highlight a prospect registered for a fall event that is poised to break out this fall.
