Unsigned Senior Spotlight: Tanner Scott

Tanner Scott, C/OF, Burlington Central HS

The 5-foot-11, 185-pound Scott can flat-out rake. He already has amassed 27 home runs in his three varsity seasons, which is tied for the school record. Scott enjoyed a monster junior campaign in which he batted .510 with 13 doubles and 9 home runs.  Scott, who slugged at a .930 clip, moved to catcher last spring after the graduation of PBR All-Stater Austin Jarvis (Bradley).

Physically strong, Scott made a big splash on varsity as a freshman when he batted .426 with 32 RBI. Scott is one of the better offensive prospects we’ve seen in the class. Defensively, he has a solid arm; his top pop time was 2.01 at a PBR event.
