No. 7 Brother Rice vs. No. 9 Mount Carmel
By: Peter Hamot
Assistant Scouting Director, Illinois/Wisconsin
Luca Agne, 2B, Brother Rice, 2027
Uncommitted, ranked No. 45 in the state. 5-foot-8, 165-pound frame, trim and athletic, proportionate strength. Started at second and hit out of the four-hole for the Crusaders, finishing the day 1-for-3 with a triple and a run scored. Scrappy switch-hitter, took his at-bats from the left side, handsy and athletic swing, controlled intent through the zone, compact and strong from launch. Steady defender at second base with sure-handed actions and fluid feet, made plays comfortably on the dirt.
