Named Indiana's PBR Player of the Summer, Coffey was one of the top uncommitted players heading into the summer. He increased his stock not only as a high level Division I prospect, but as a potential 2017 draft. The 6-foot-2, 170 pounder has improved in all facets of his game. He possesses athletic actions at shortstop along with plenty of arm strength. At a PBR event earlier in the year, he ran a 6.68 60. One of the biggest areas of improvement for Coffey this summer was at the plate where he showed good barrel control with more bat speed and an increase in power. Coffey's successful summer led him to committing to Arizona State in August.
