The Top 3

Cameron Carter OF / LHP / Olathe West, KS / 2024

One of the most tooled out players in the country in the 2024 class, Carter has shown a 6.64 60, 87 outfield velo, 89 off the tee, and up to 88 on the mound from the left-side. The left-handed hitter produced in a big way all spring and summer hitting for average and stealing bags while also developing some juice. Carter is also and elite center-fielder who plays the position beyond his years.

Jack Jones 1B / OF / Shawnee Mission East, KS / 2024

After a strong showing all summer, Jones left no doubt that he is one of the top young power hitters in the country with his performance at this year's Future Games. Jones collected multiple extra base hits including one of the longest home runs in future games history that was 105 off the barrel. Jones is not just a big popper though, he shows athleticism with a sub 7.0 60 and 92 mph from the outfield.

Blake O'Brien OF / RHP / St. Thomas Aquinas, KS / 2024

One of the most polished young players in the country on both sides of the ball, O'Brien is a true two-way prospect who knows how to play the game. O'Brian shined at this year's future games where he was up to 86 on the mound with an advanced 3 pitch mix while also collecting hits in the box. O'Brien ran a 6.94 60 and was 90 from the outfield as well.

The Risers
As with every season that goes by, many players take major leaps physically and developmentally. Below are some of the biggest risers since our latest rankings.

Hudson Byrd RHP / OF / Blue Valley, KS / 2024

One of the most projectable arms in the state at 6-foot-4, 175-pounds with a clean an quick arm. Byrd has seen his his velo steadily rise this spring and summer and shows no signs of leveling off any time soon. The right-hander also has high-end feel for the zone with a changeup and curveball as well.

Liam Roche LHP / 1B / Shawnee Mission South, KS / 2024

Roche really impressed at the MOKAN Underclass Games where he featured a fastball jump up to 82 from a clean and very easy delivery and arm action. The left-handers 3/4 slot and lower spin rate create consistent sink and will continue to induce ground balls.

Kyle Christensen OF / RHP / Olathe South, KS / 2024

The 5-foot-9, 170-pound athlete has continued to make big strikes with the bat, rising 30 spots in this edition of the rankings. The right-handed hitter shows a gap-to-gap approach and consistent barrels with an exit velo up to 87 in BP.
