St. Louis Gamers Scout Day: 2022-2020 Pitchers Analysis

Prep Baseball Report - Missouri held the St. Louis Gamers Scout Day on February 19 at All-Star Sports in St. Louis, Missouri.  Over 60 players attended the event in the 2022 to 2019 classes. 

Players can now updated their profiles with a ProspectPlus subscription, while scouts and recruiters can add players on the ScoutPlus dashboard.

Player profiles have been updated with profile picture, running times, velocities, and videos.  Today will take a closer look at the Middle infielders from the event. Players are listed in alphabetical order below.

This group of middle infielders included on player from the 2023 class, two from the class of 2022, four from the 2021 class, four from the 2020 class, and three from the 2019 class. Five players posted 90-plus exit velos with one 89 mph exit velo.  Five players were 80 mph or better with their infield velos.  Here is a look at the middle infielders from the St. Louis Gamers Scout Day.


2022-2020 Pitchers

Ryan Bibb RHP / SS / Mascoutah , IL / 2022

Bibb is a 6-foot 160-pound 160-pound right-handed pitcher in Illinois’ 2022 class. Bibb comes from a high three quarters arms lot, loose arm action with athletic delivery, in line stride, body stays under control, shows the ability to repeat with a release out in front, fastball at 75-79 mph, slight late run, change up at 72-74 mph, throws with near fastball arm speed, slight late sinking action, young arm with high upside.

Joe Dasho OF / RHP / Vianney, MO / 2021

Dasho is a 6-foot 198-pound right-handed pitcher in Missouri’s 2021 class. Dasho has a three quarters arm slot, drop and drive type delivery, uses strong lower half, controlled leg lift, accelerates in line down the mound, athletic finish, body stays under control, fastball at 77-79 mph, breaking ball has 11-to-5 action, occasionally late and sharp break with depth, 62-66 mph, change up at 66-70 mph, slight arm side run, throws with hear fastball arm speed, slight sink.

Nathan Fee-Wiley SS / RHP / Christian Brothers College, MO / 2022

Wiley is a 5-foot-9 145-pound right handed pitcher in Missouri’s 2022 class. Wiley starts in a crouched set up, high hands and controlled leg lift, small bound at top of balance point, long arm swing high three quarters arms lot, loose and easy arm action, throws with regular effort, fastball at 68-72 mph, change up at 63-64 mph, slight sinking action, body is still developing with athletic frame and loose arm action.

Michael Feldt LHP / OF / Wesclin, IL / 2020

Feldt is a compact 5-foot-6 175-pound left-handed pitcher in Illinois' 2020 class. Feldt has a high three quarters arm slot, long arm circle, throws with regular effort, in line stride down he mound, controlled leg lift with smooth tempo as he gets down the mound, fastball at 75-80 mph, will work glove side, some with arm side run, curveball at 72-74 mph, gradual 1-to-7 action, late, chain up at 72-73 mph, has slight late sink, showed ability to command all three pitches in the zone.

Alex Fox RHP / OF / SLUH, MO / 2020

Fox is a 6-foot-1 160-pound right-handed pitcher in Missouri’s 2020 class. Fox has a high three quarters arm slot, slight coil at balance point, stride is in line towards the plate, accelerates after balance point, body stays under control throwing with regular effort, athletic finish, fastball at 76-79 mph, works on a down hill plane, curveball at 64-66 mph, gradual 11-to-5 shape, throws on same plane as fastball, change up at 67-70 mph, slight sink, near fastball arm speed, arm action and long build would suggest increases in command and velocity as he continues to develop.

Joey Funk LHP / OF / Vianney, MO / 2022

Funk is a 5-foot 11 145-pound left-handed pitcher in Missouri’s 2022 class. Funk has a high three quarters arm slot, keeps hands high in delivery, deliberate and controlled leg lift, in line stride, simple and repeatable delivery, stride is slightly closed, fastball works at 67-72 mph, some work on a downhill plane, change up at 58-61 mph, has some cutting action across the strike zone, throws with fastball arm speed, young arm still developing, build is long and lean with upside.

Tyler Gilmer C / RHP / Sikeston, MO / 2021

Gilmer is a 5-foot-10 160-pound right-handed pitcher in Missouri’s 2021 class. Gilmer has an athletic delivery with quick tempo, hands raise with leg lift, slight coil with high leg lift, loose arm action, aggressive in line down the mound, fastball works, 70-75 mph, arm side run at times, curveball at 66-69 mph, 12-to-6 shape, gradual break, change up at 67-69 mph,  flashes arms side run, throws with near fastball arm speed, has feel for pitches for age with upside in build.

Marcus Heusohn 1B / LHP / Waterloo , IL / 2021

Heusohn is a solid 6-foot 185-pound left-handed pitcher in Illinois 2021 class.  Huesohn comes from an over the top arm slot, keeps hand high in delivery, deliberate and controlled leg lift, raises leg at an angle against back side, in line direction down the mound, body works under control, fastball at 75-80 mph, works down hill, curveball at 60-66 mph, 1-to-7 shape, some with late action, throws for a strike, change up at 67-70 mph, flashes arm side run, throws with near fastball arms speed.

Brian Cole Krieger RHP / SS / Lafayette, MO / 2020

Krieger is a athletically built 6-foot 160-pound right-handed pitcher in Missouri’s 2020 class. Krieger has a short over the top arm slot, hides ball well, aggressive down the mound with body staying under control, athletic finish, throws with some effort at release, loose arm action with quick arm speed, fastball worked, 81-83 mph, works to both sides of the plate, some with cutting action, curveball at 60-62 mph, 11-to-5 shape, works down in the zone, change up at 66-71 mph, slight sink.

Ian Lohse LHP / OF / Marquette, MO / 2020

Lohse is a 5-foot-11 155-pound left-handed pitcher in Missouri’s 2020 class. Lohse was impressive with velo and command, compact delivery, simple and repeatable, slight rotation at balance point in hips, accelerates down the mound in line, loose and quick arm speed, throws with some effort at release, over the top arm slot, fastball works on a downhill plane with slight two—seam action, 82-86 mph, breaking ball had sharp action with late break, 1-to-7 action, looks to a buckling and swing and miss pitch, throws change up with fastball arm speed, 72-74 mph, arm side run, small frame with more in the tank as he continues to develop to add to already good command of arsenal of pitches. 

Jack Martin SS / RHP / Westminster, MO / 2020

Martin is a long limbed 5-foot-10 145-pound right-handed pitcher in Missouri’s 2020 class. Martin comes from an over the top arm slot, stays in line down the mound, repeats delivery, throws with regular effort, fastball at 69-74 mph, breaking ball has gradual 12-to-6 action, some late, change up at 65-67 mph, near fastball arm speed with slight sinking action.

Jack Meyer SS / RHP / Rockwood Summit, MO / 2021

Meyer is a 5-foot-11 155-pound right-handed pitcher in Missouri’s 2021 class. Meyer has a high three quarters arm slot, smooth and accelerated tempo, in line stride, loose arm action, throws with regular effort, fastball at 73-77 mph, breaking ball has 12-to-6 action, gradual break, 63-67 mph, change up at 68-70, down in zone, throws with near fastball arm speed.

Kyle Miller RHP / 1B / Eureka , MO / 2020

Miller is a strong 6-foot-2 195-pound right-handed pitcher in Missouri’s 2020 class.  Miller has an athletic delivery, controlled to balance point, accelerates with some effort down the mound, aggressive and in line, loose and quick arm action, shows command of three pitches, fastball at 82-85 mph, late run at times, breaking ball has 11-to-5 action, flashes depth with late and sharp break, change up at 72-75 mph, some with arm side run, looks to be a top two-way athletes in his class.

 

 

Nicholas Moten SS / RHP / Westminster , MO / 2021

Moten is a 5-foot-8 155-pound right-handed pitcher in Missouri’s 2021 class. Moten has an over the top arm slot, simple and repeatable staying under control and in line down the mound, throws with regular effort, loose arm action, commands fastball at 77-80 mph, breaking ball at 62-65 mph, 11-to-5 shape, looks to be a good pitch and he continues to develop, change up at 64-66 mph, arm side run, throws with near fastball arm speed, throws for strike.

Gus Pulos LHP / OF / MICDS, MO / 2020

Pulos is a long and lean 6-foot 165-pound left-handed pitcher in Missouri’s 2020 class. Pulos has a long and loose arm action, three quarters release, hands remain high through leg lift, in line stride, fastball with arm side run, 79-81 mph, works glove side and arm side, breaking ball at 68-71 mph, 1-to-7 breaking ball, gradual late action, change up at 71-73 mph, arm side sink, throws with fastball arm speed, has feel and command, more velo to come out of already loose arm arm action and impressive long limbed frame.

Trevor Quick SS / 2B / Seckman, MO / 2021

Quick is a 6-foot 140-pound right-handed pitcher in Missouri’s 2021 class. Quick has a short high three quarters, hides ball until release, smooth tempo staying in line down the mound, athletic finish, clean arm action, projectable and athletic build, fastball works, 72-74 mph, breaking ball at 61-63 mph, has early 11-to-5 break, change up at 62-66 mph, slight arm side running action, throws with near fastball arm speed.

Tim Reinholz LHP / 1B / Gibault Catholic High School, IL / 2020

Reinholz is a strong with long limbed 6-foot-1 180-pound left-handed pitcher in Illinois’ 2020 class. Reinholz has a modified short stop in wind up, no wasted movement, controlled delivery with body staying under control, clean and long arm action, high three quarters arm slot, fastball works in the zone at 78-81 mph, two-seam action, breaking ball 67-70 mph, gradual 10-to-4 slider-type action, change up at 67-70 mph, occasional late sinking action, throws with near fastball arms speed, overall, long levered lefty pitcher with clean arm action and big frame capable of adding more strength.

Luis Sanchez RHP / 1B / Valley Park, MO / 2020

Sanchez is a wide shouldered 5-foot-10 170-pound right-handed pitcher in Missouri’s 2020 class. Sanchez has a high three quarters arms lot, loose arm action, slinging type motion, high leg lift with a slight tuck at balance point, works slightly across body, deceptive with stride and release point, fastball worked 81-82 mph, slight arm side release, breaking ball has 10-to-4 slider type action, sometimes late, change up has arm side sink, 73-74 mph, throws with near fastball arm speed, long limbs, throws with leverage, build has projection, look for increases as he continues to add innings.

Tyler Tieman 1B / LHP / Althoff Catholic , IL / 2022

Tieman is a sturdy 5-foot-7 185-pound left-haded pitcher in Illinois 2022 class. Tieman has a high three quarters arm slot, controlled and smooth tempo, no wasted movement in a simple delivery, controlled body with clean arm action.  Fastball worked, 68-73 mph, works both sides of the plage, has command, change up at 62-66 mph, arm side run, throws with near fastball arm speed.
