Southern Nash held off a late inning surge by Bunn to take a 10-4-win Thursday night. Mason Wells took the win for the Firebirds allowing 4 runs in 4 2/3 innings of work. Lenden Baker launched a bomb to left field in the second inning to put the Firebirds out to a 3-0 lead and never looked back. Jared Hagwood took the mound for the Wildcats taking the loss after allowing 4 runs in 3 innings of work. Bunn moves to 7-11 on the season, Southern Nash now 11-5 sets up a 2-game set next week vs cross-county rival Northern Nash that would decide the champion of the Big East 3A/2A conference.

Middle Tennessee commit. 6'4 215lbs. Large strong frame. Right handed hitter. Wide base in the box with advanced power and quick hands. Hit a monster HR to left field. Smooth footwork around the bag at first, above average glove. On the mound, short knee lift, 3/4 slot finishes across his body. Fastball at 87-89, locating in the down half. Change-up at 73-74.

Athletic frame, good agility, fields the ball cleanly with a smooth quick transfer. Arm is accurate and quick. In the box a short jab step and compact swing produces line drives to all fields, with twitch present can easily turn a base hit into extra bases.
