Scouting Notes:  From the Summer Scout Blog: Lefty that maximizes an average build.  Fastball sat 83-84 and touched 85 in bullpen setting, from a high-3/4 slot and long arm action.  Some effort in the delivery that is a little choppy as it builds from a slow tempo to a quick arm.  Command improved throughout the bullpen as he gained feel for his release point and direction.  A newly developed cut-fastball showed late side to side action at 79-80.  CB has downer action with good handspeed.  It was erratic at 68-70.  Change-up is behind the other offerings and sat 74-75 with some fade but the arm did slow.

PBR: What Schools have you been hearing from?

RD: Wingate & UNCC

PBR: Have you developed relationships with any particular coaches on the recruiting trail?

RD:  Yes, I have talked to a couple coaches but mostly I communicate with Coach White from Wingate baseball

PBR:  Have you taken any visits? Do you have any visits planned?

RD: I have not taken a visit to any schools yet.

PBR:  Is there a timeline for your recruitment in place?

RD:  I would perfer to be committed before my senior year high school baseball season.

PBR:  What has been the most interesting aspect of being a recruited athlete?

RD:  The most interesting thing is just being able to go out and play infront of college coaches and do what I love to do.

PBR:  Any academic interests that will drive your decision?

RD:  Not necessarily, I'm still unsure of what I will major in.

PBR:  From a baseball standpoint, what are your top priorities, when looking at potential schools?

RD:  Making sure I'll get playing time & seeing if they have a good baseball program and good academics.

PBR:  Anything you would offer up to the 2018 & 2019 classes as they begin their process?

RD:  Go out there and work extremely hard. Don't let someone else outwork you. Always have a good attitude even when stuff isn't going your way. Keep your stuff off social media and don't do things college coaches would not approve of
