2022 PBR Future Games - Invite Accepted: Mack Edwards
June 20, 2022
With the Summer season in full swing, that signifies that the Future Games are right around the corner. At the end of every July, each Prep Baseball Report territory brings together the top Uncommitted players in their states to go head to head in the premier event of the Summer, the PBR Future Games. The event is religiously attended by 300+ college coaches from Coast to Coast for the "One Stop Shop" type event that takes place at our state-of-the-art LakePoint Sports Facility in Emerson, Georgia.
#PBRTeamNevada rosters have a rich tradition of high level prospects, including Tanner McDougal(Silverado, Chicago White Sox - 5th Rd.), Jace Avina (Spanish Springs, Milwaukee Brewers - 14th Rd.), Santino Panaro (UNLV - Mountain West Conf. Freshman of the Year), Grayson Grinsell (Oregon Signee - Super 60 Representative), Gunnar Myro (UNLV Commit), Zane Kelly (SDSU Commit), Jet Gilliam (Long Beach State Commit), LJ Mercurius (UNLV Commit), Ty Silva (Washington Commit - 2021 All Future Games Team), Ty Southisene (Tennessee Commit), Ethan Clauss (Texas A&M Commit).
As we quickly approach the event, we will be highlighting the players who have accepted their invite to represent #PBRTeamNevada against the best Uncommitted players the country has to offer. The players who are selected for this opportunity join an elite group of players that have come through the event, representing the Silver State to the highest level and bringing back a positive impression on caliber and type of player that comes form our state.
Mack Edwards | 2025 1B/LHP | Reno
Edwards is a huge pick up for #PBRTeamNevada, both figuratively and literally as he stands at an imposing 6-foot-5, 200 pounds, coming off an impressive freshman campaign where he played a key role in the Reno Huskies' run deep into the 2022 State Championship tournament. His present physical strength has already shown itself on the offensive side when he landed near the top of the Stat Leaderboard of the Reno Huskies Scout Day in the preseason with his PBR Verified 94.8 mph TrackMan Exit Velocity. On the mound, he has the arm action with much more velocity expected to come over the next few years. The Reno product comes from one of the most storied programs in the state with his in-game IQ and maturity already proven to be well beyond his years and we expect him to make some serious noise at the 2022 Future Games.
