Scout Day Season: Top Infield Velocity

Brett Harrison
Nevada Scouting Director

Next, we dive into the Top Infield Velocities of the Scout Day Season Top Performers with highly recognizable name topping the leaderboard followed by an Under the Radar 2020 middle infielder that has continued to progress into a legit prospect. The infield arm in the state belongs to Faith Lutheran’s RHP/UT Michael Rice who topped out at 93 mph from shortstop at the Faith Lutheran Scout Day. The two-way, UCSB recruit is one of the top arms in the state on the mound as well as in the field and should draw some draft buzz throughout his senior campaign. Durango’s 2020 IF Blake Logan is an Uncommitted slick fielding middle infielder that put his name on the map with his 89 mph Infield Velocity at the Southern Nevada Scout Day. Palo Verde’s Kody Bialas has created some buzz as the lone freshman to make the Top Infield Velocities topping out at 87 mph across the diamond. The group of Top Infield Velocities also featured 2022 Georgia Tech commit Demitri Diamant (88 mph), 2021 Oregon commit Garrett Cutting (87 mph) and 2021 Arizona commit Tyler Whitaker (85 mph). With the PBR Player Rankings coming out in the next few weeks, these may be some familiar names you will see populating the Top 10 of their respective classes. #BeSeen
