Team Nevada: LJ Mercurius

Brett Harrison
Nevada Scouting Director

With the PBR Future Games exactly one month out, we are going to take a look at the prospects selected to represent Team Nevada. These are the best Uncommitted prospects that our state has to offer in the 2022 - 2023 classes and are expected to be some of the first prospects off the board. I am extremely excited about this years team with level of talent that will representing our state against the top Uncommitted players from around the country.

LJ Mercurius - RHP

Mercurius is a three sport athlete with a lean, 6-foot-3 frame that has plenty of room to fill out with mid 80's fastball that should make velocity progression as he continues to add physicality. On the mound, he possesses a simple, tall/tilt type delivery that helps him create some downward action on each both his fastball and change up. Some slight tightening up in his delivery could immediately translate to an increase in his velocity. This is a prospect with a ton of upside with the athleticism he possesses and feel he already has for each of his pitches and should make his way on to a number of schools radars following the Future Games.
