2021 New England Academic Games - Quick Hits

THE BATS

  • Jason Flaherty - Flaherty used the middle of the field and showed great hands at the plate.
  • Ronan Donohue - Donahue is a strong right handed hitter with a quick bat. There’s juice in the middle of the field.
  • Gavin Donahue - Donohue is a consistent hitter. He’s balanced, shows a gap to gap approach and controls the barrel.
  • Evan Raider - Raider showed some bat speed and the ability to drive the ball to the pull side.

THE ARMS

  • James Clark - Clark was really impressive today. The strong-framed right hander showed an electric fastball that sat 86-88 MPH and a tight slider 76-78 MPH.
  • Caleb Allen - Allen uses a lower slot that gives his low 80’s fastball heavy sink. He also showed an effective, sweeping breaking ball.
  • Sean Maxwell - Maxwell is a good looking left hander. The frame is projectable and the arm works.

THE DEFENDERS

  • Ronan Donohue - Donohue is an athletic defender in the middle of the diamond, with a strong arm.
  • Gavin Donohue - Donohue showed clean actions in the infield. He moves well laterally, with a strong arm.
  • Sean Salvador - Salvador showed versatility in the infield. He moves well and can play multiple positions.
  • Nick Spaner - Spaner is a good looking young catcher. The feet are athletic, he receives well and the arm is quick.
