Preseason all-state - Central

Jacob Severson OF / 1B / West Genesee, NY / 2024 What to expect: Plenty of barrels during BP through a tight, repeatable swing. Easy bat to ball skills and above average athleticism on both sides of the ball. Clean routes in the OF to the ball combined with average arm strength.  What we'd like to see: Added strength that yields high exit velocity numbers and increased arm strength. Breaking the 90 MPH exit velo barrier would be beneficial as well as shaving off some time on the 60 yard dash to possibly be in the 7.00- sub 7 range. Video: Summer Prospect Showcase (2021)

Owen Redick OF / RHP / Saratoga Springs , NY / 2023 What to expect: Fast hands in the box with a long swing that catches a lot of the plate. Quality arm strength for the available frame. On the mound, expect to see a long arm swing without restrictions and a healthy stride down the mound creating high extension numbers.  What we'd like to see: A jump in all of the measureables and physical strength. With nearly two years between attending events, we can assume Owen has worked hard to improve the previously mentioned areas.  Video: Preseason All-State - Capital Region (2020)

Tyler Vivacqua SS / RHP / Liverpool, NY / 2024 Rankings  StateRank: 28 / POS: 4 What to expect: Exceptional switch hitter. Aggressive approach at the plate with high hand speed per Blast (24.2). High intent swings that stay within his frame easily from the right side. Swings from the left side are more direct to the ball through a taken back approach. On defense, Vivaqua will display natural routes to the ball and field with soft hands. Very active player on defense. What we'd like to see: Time shaved off the 60 yard dash to get close to being near 7 or sub 7 second range. Added exit velocity with more ability to display strength to the opposite field. On defense, we would like to see smoother efforts through the baseball in a quick release. Video: NY State Games (2021)
