Our final event of 2017 will take place this upcoming Saturday at House of Sports in Ardsley, NY. Nearly 65 players will be in attendance, including these 11 catchers. Let's take a look at some of our returners and make note of the newcomers.

Last Chance Preview- Downstate / Catchers

James Evans III C / 1B / All Hallows, NY / 2018

Physical 6-foot-0 215 pound right-handed hitter with some juice in the bat. Quicker exchange and continous action through his throws should put him below a 2.10 pop time.

Thomas Jones C / 3B / Arlington, NY / 2018

First time right-handed hitting catcher at 5-foot-9 170 pounds from a strong Arlington HS program.

Michael Hangan C / OF / Iona Prep, NY / 2019

Balanced approach at the plate. It's been over a year since we last seen Hangan, looking forward to seeing his progress.

Billy Sullivan C / OF / Nyack , NY / 2019

Dynamic backstop with with throws on a line in the 2.00 range; line drive stroke, good all-around athlete.

Tyler Holmes C / 3B / Fairport, NY / 2019

Breakout performances from Holmes this summer. Above average arm up to 78 MPH from behind the dish with pop times in the 2.00 range. Has shown some pull side pop at the plate.

Christopher Polgano 3B / C / St. Raymonds , NY / 2019

Another athletic backstop who is on the rise. Doesn't get cheated with his swings; can pepper the left-center gap. On the rise behind the plate but also shows well on the infield.

Steven Fernandez C / 3B / St. Raymond's, NY / 2019

Newcomer who stands 5-foot-8 165 pounds and swings it from the right side. Plays for a solid CHSAA program in St. Raymond's.

Ulysses Luciano C / SS / Riverdale Kingsbridge Academy, NY / 2019

Wiry 5-foot-11 150 pound right-handed hitter making his PBR-NY debut.

Noah Cabassa C / 1B / North Rockland, NY / 2019

Another highly touted catcher from the 2019 class. Drives the gaps and has shown a more then suitable arm (75 MPH) and snap like release behind the dish.

Anthony Polosky C / Johnson City, NY / 2019

Newcomer makes the trip from the Binghamton area. Impressive 6-foot-3 192 frame for the right-handed hitter.

Anthony Pressimone C / 2B / Stepinac , NY / 2020

Slightly built 5-foot-5 130 pound right-handed hitter from historically strong Archbishop Stepinac HS.
