Kuyper Lashutka 1B / RHP / Upper Arlington, OH / 2022

Report: Lashutka is a 2022 prospect with a strong, athletic build. Frame fits multiple positions on the field but DH’d in the game we saw him. At the plate, the right hander starts in a tall, opened stance with hands set near ear level.  Utilizes a leg kick for timing and energy with lower half. Loading sequence creates balance and separation. Barrel flows through load and smoothly into launch, maintaining momentum through the zone and into contact. Swing shows natural loft and an above average combination of strength/bat speed.

Braden Reed OF / 2B / Gahanna Lincoln, OH / 2022

Report: An athletically built prospect. In the infield he does a nice job pre pitch to put him in an athletic position to react well off the bat. Showed the ability to use the glove effectively to both forehand and backhand. Arm plays as an above average tool in the infield. At the plate, he uses a slight open stance with a good placement of the bat. Uses a toe tap stride that creates a good separation from the upper body. Able to get hips open in time to get the bat through the zone well.

Blake Jodrey SS / RHP / Highland, OH / 2022

Report: A good athlete that can be utilized in a variety of roles defensively. Jodrey saw innings on the bump, in the outfield, and in the infield. On the bump, Jodrey worked ahead with his consistency on his FB. Actions are fluid and show signs of more velocity to come naturally. Athleticism really shows in the box. Uses a series of athletic, well timed movements to create energy and sync body up prior to launch. Swings is level with noticeable twitch to hands. Bat gets through contact with ease. More of a line drive threat presently.

Garrett Helsel LHP / 1B / Gahanna Lincoln, OH / 2022

Report: A big southpaw with upside on the mound. A long lever type that has room to add physicality to frame. Delivery has a slower pace to it and requires some effort. Arm is clean through an over the top slot with above average strength for class. Fastball stays mostly true through the zone. Only showed one breaking ball during outing. Helsel got hit around a bit by a talented Legends lineup but with his frame and arm strength he is a guy to follow.
