6/27/18 Another well-rounded prospect that has an impressive combination of size and athleticism. Very easily could have made this list for his glove at short or performance on the mound as well. Athleticism really shows in the box. Controls body well, allowing him to create energy through movements yet also remain balanced throughout swing sequence. Nice path through the zone with obvious strength and twitch to hands. Has the look of the guy who can hit for average with more thump than most. Also looked the part on the bump. Athletic actions with live arm through a high-¾ slot. Repertoire was led by his fastball up to 71 mph. Both secondary offerings were above average as well. Look for him to have much more velo down the road. 60-yard dash: 7.56 Infield Velocity: 71 Exit Velocity: 69
5/4/18 Lashutka is a 2022 prospect with a strong, athletic build. Frame fits multiple positions on the field but DH’d in the game we saw him. At the plate, the right hander starts in a tall, opened stance with hands set near ear level. Utilizes a leg kick for timing and energy with lower half. Loading sequence creates balance and separation. Barrel flows through load and smoothly into launch, maintaining momentum through the zone and into contact. Swing shows natural loft and an above average combination of strength/bat speed.
6/13/17 A right-handed hitter that starts in a tall, open stance. An ambush type hitter that creates energy with his lower half. Hands move back during his forward movement, creating solid separation. Natural tools are well above average for his age. Path is level with obvious bat speed through the zone. Flashed middle of the lineup tools with impressive pop to his pull side. Would like to see him add fluidity to be on time more consistently. The first baseman shows above average lateral ability for his position. Throws from a high ¾ slot and showed carry for his age across the diamond. Accuracy of his throws will be aided by creating better momentum and more efficiency in his footwork. The tall, lanky right shows average tempo delivery with a slight tuck at the top of his leg lift. Gets a lot of extension on the backside of his arm action before coming through a near over the top arm slot. Fastball was 65-67 mph and showed a good deal of ASR. Curveball has 12/6 bite at 55-57 mph. Changeup came in at 58-60 mph. Will be aided by physical development and better using this lower half. 60-Yard Dash: 7.77 Infield Velocity: 62 Exit Velocity: 78
