Infielder Pete Capobianco (Dallastown), a member of the Team Pennsylvania roster at the 2017 PBR Future Games, gets the nod this week as the Pennsylvania Player of the Week.
The 6-foot-1, 210-pound uncommitted junior is currently ranked No. 40 in the PA Class of 2020. Capobianco gets the nod this week for his offensive explosion on Friday that included a 2-for-3 night with five RBI.
Both of Capobianco's hits were home runs with one clearing the fence by nearly 100 feet in left field, landing on top of the school builiding.
+ RHP/1B Daniel Kanagy (East Juniata) picked up two wins on the week working a total of 10.2 innings. Kanagy allowed struck out 18 batters and walked just one. For good measure he also went 4-for-7 with a double and triple to support his own cause at the plate.
+ SS/RHP Matt Schietroma (Pine-Richland) tossed a complete game shutout over Pittsburgh Central Catholic. Currently ranked No. 132 in the PA Class of 2019, Schietroma allowed just four hits and a walk while striking out five.
+ LHP Tom Colcombe (Peters Township), a Pittsburgh recruit, picked up two wins on the week lowering his ERA to 1.17. In 24 innings this season, Colcombe has allowed 10 hits while striking out 38.
+ RHP/3B Patrick Toal (The Haverford School) played a big role in the Fords 3-0 week that included a pair of wins in Inter-Ac League play. Currently ranked No. 122 in the PA Class of 2020, Toal picked up the win on the mound over Episcopal Academy with 5.1 innings of work. The two-way prospect also went 4-for-10 with two doubles and five RBI at the plate over three games.
+ LHP/OF Ty Federici (Lake-Lehman), No. 1 in the PA Class of 2022, went 5-for-7 on the week with two doubles and six RBI. On the season the freshman has six doubles, a home run and 17 RBI.
+ LHP Nate Beimel (St. Marys Area) went 5.2 innings without allowing a hit in a win over Elk County Catholic on Thursday. The Columbia recruit struck out 15 and has now punched out 31 hitters in 13.2 innings of work this spring.
