Game Recap: Dallastown at Central York

Joseph KroegerCentral York's Joe Kroeger hit a two-out two-run home run to give the Panthers a 2-1 lead in the bottom of the third inning.  Dallastown answered with four runs of their own with two outs in the top of inning four and forced Central York to play catch up the remainder of the evening.  The Wildcats (10-7) never trailed, but were forced to keep scoring, four runs in their final three at bats, to earn the win by a final score of 9-7. 

Offense was the theme of the evening with Kroeger (2-for-4, HR, 4 RBI), Ryan Crum (2-for-2, 2 BB), Elzir Stroman (3-for-4) and Kolby Guinard (2-for-3, 2B, 2 R, RBI) leading Central York (6-13). Dallastown was paced by Bryant Holtzapple (2-for-4, 2B, BB, 2 runs), Tye Golden (2-for-4, 2B, SF, 2 RBI, 2 runs), Cody Somerville (2-for-3, 2 BB, RBI), Nick Schuler (2-for-5) and Joe Capobianco (2-for-4, 2B, HR, 3 RBI).

Central York is scheduled to complete their regular season schedule at Susquehannock today. Dallastown continues a busy week with a home against New Oxford today and an away game at Solanco tomorrow.
