Cedar Cliff 5, Palmyra 2

Cedar Cliff leadoff hitter Bobby Whalen accounted for four runs to lead Cedar Cliff to a PIAA District 3 - Class 5A quarterfinal win on Thursday. The Louisville recruit went 2-for-3 with two runs scored and two RBI. Whalen accounted for two of the Colts' three extra base hits (2B, HR) while Penn State wrestling recruit Donovon Ball also doubled.

Youngstown State recruit Trey Law worked 6.2 innings without allowing an earned run, allowing five hits while striking out two in earning the win. 

With the win Cedar Cliff (19-3) moves on to the District 3 semifinals and secured a spot in the PIAA state tournament. Palmyra finishes the season at 16-4.
