3/29/16 5-foot-11, 160-pound right-handed hitter looked comfortable in the box in the two hole. Stayed through an outer half fastball for a double in second at bat and displayed the ability to handle the bat with a bunt base hit during a late inning rally. Displayed athletic actions defensively and is a long strider (4.47 home-to-1B). Freshman looks the part and will be a prospect to follow in this class.
9/13/15 5-foot-11, 160-pound right-handed hitter who seemingly comes out of his shoes on every swing. Starts from an open stance and strides to a slightly open, narrow base. Spins hard on his backside with approach geared to lift the ball in the air. An armbar creates length in his path, while he does flash batspeed. Ran a 7.59 60-yard dash and an in-game 4.90 home-to-1B time, while posting a 79-mph exit velocity. Defensively, he showcased 80-mph arm strength with low trajectory from a low arm slot.
6/24/15 5-foot-10, 160-pound right-handed hitter. More physically advanced than many of his peers. Starts from open stance and strides to square. Attacked ball, flashed some bat speed, although swing has length due to armbar created in load. Ran a 7.31 60-yard dash. Showcased 83-mph exit velo and 73-mph arm strength during workout. Posted workout pop times of 2.16-2.28 with an in-game pop of 2.19. Offense currently ahead of defense. Would like to see him set wider in defensive stance in order to help him get lower with his thumb underneath when receiving. With high school career not even started, has lots of time to iron out footwork and shorten release to improve throwing accuracy.
