A two out RBI single off the bat of senior shortstop Cory Joyce was the difference as Neshaminy (16-6) topped Central Bucks South 2-1 to earn the PIAA District 1 - 6A title on Friday. Joyce, a Maryland Eastern Shore recruit, finished the day 1-for-2 with a walk. Junior OF Dalton Turner, a Rider commit, led the Redskins offense with a 2-for-3 day that included a double.

Junior RHP Max Temple picked up the win working 5.1 innings, allowing five hits and one run. Senior RHP Jake Fehrle worked the final 1.2 innings without allowing a hit for the save.

Senior LHP Ryan Rieber, a DeSales recruit, was the hard luck loser allowing two runs in 4.1 innings of work for Central Bucks South (15-8). Senior SS Joey Loynd, a Delaware recruit, led the Central Bucks South offense with a 2-for-3 day that included his team's only RBI.

Both teams advance to the PIAA state tournament next week.
