2.9.19 - 6-foot, 185-pound Rider commit displayed an all-around standout day. The right-handed hitter starts from a powerful, square stance and utilizes a leg-hang stride to initiate his swing. Displayed present power to all fields with solid hip/shoulder separation during batting practice as he registered a 90 mph bat-exit-velocity. Showcased athletic actions in the outfield and soft hands while recording accurate throws of 80 mph from his position. Ran a 7.45 60-yard dash signifying a corner outfield spot will be the next stop at the next level.
4.24.18 - An impressive prospect in the 2020 class, Turner looks the part of an impact player as a 5-foot-11, 185-pound athlete. There is strength to the upper and lower halves with room to continue filling out. Likely a corner outfielder long-term. He doubled in the top of the first on a hard hit ball to right field, plating two runs in the process. That was his only hit of the day but he also recorded a sac fly later in the game on a well hit ball to right-center. His feet set shoulder width apart, while he stands open-to-even. His hands are loose and there is good bat speed. Turner has the physical tools to rise up the rankings in the coming seasons with further refinement in his approach at the plate.
1.28.18 - 5-foot-11, 185-pound right-handed hitter starts from a slightly open stance and utilizes a leg-hang stride to initiate his swing. Displayed a feel for the barrel and some present power to the pull side with a bat exit velocity of 86 mph. A deep hands load leads to some length in the swing and an uphill path to the hitting zone. Ran a 7.49 60-yard dash and showcased the ability to routinely play through the baseball defensively with 83 mph arm strength from the outfield.
