Scouting Report

6/15/20

Physical: Compact, physical 5-foot-7, 185-pound frame. High-waisted athlete. 7.36 runner in the 60.

Offensively: Upright stance with a wide base and his hands high. Brings his hands down on load along with a small stride for timing. Quick hands and a strong lower half, he employs a flat and efficient bat plane that results in consistent hard line drives all over the field. Reached a peak bat exit of 93 mph and an average exit velo of 85 during his Trackman BP round.

Defensively: Starts and plays low to the ground with a wide base, keeps his hands low and out in front of his body and is able to cover some ground laterally. Only up to 76 mph from the IF during this defensive evaluation, he has showcased an 81 mph arm in the past.

2/22/20

Showcased a strong, compact 5-foot-7, 180-pound frame with physicality in his actions. The right-handed hitter begins with a crouched, even stance utilizing a leg-lift to initiate a slightly uphill barrel path into the hitting zone. Generated above-average hand speed allowing for barrel whip which created natural pull side lift during batting practice. Recorded an 88 mph bat-exit velocity and ran a 7.23 60-yard dash. The middle infielder showed adequate footwork with soft hands that played out in front. A strong lower half allowed for range to both sides and smooth transfers yielded accurate 84 mph arm-strength across the diamond out of a high ¾ arm-slot.
