Team Tennessee's 2019 PBR Future Games experience was a great one, as the 2019 group finished the weekend 0-2-1 with tight games against the top talent from Mid-Atlantic, Missouri, and Kentucky. Although the team didn't get in the win column, Team Tennessee players made some serious impressions on the hundreds of college coaches in attendance at the event (320 to be exact). Trey Willis LHP / Loudon, TN / 2021Max FB: 84 FB: 82-84 CB: 67-69 CH: 76-78 The wiry 6-foot-4, 170-pound southpaw tossed two innings in relief, striking out 4, in Game 3 vs Kentucky. Tall, very projectable frame w/ good rhythm and plane. Fastball was 82-84 (Max Spin: 2039 AVG: 1864) w/ good life and light arm side fade. Generated a lot of swing and misses on sharp 12/6 breaking ball at 67-69. Flashed changeup at 76-78 w/ some fade and good speed difference. Profile projects as left-handed strikeout artist with S/M stuff and knack for managing lineups.

Joe King LHP / OF / Ezell-Harding Christian , TN / 2022Max FB: 85 FB: 83-85 CB: 70-72 CH: 70-71 The 6-foot, 185-pound 2022 left hander threw two innings in relief in Game 2 vs Missouri. King continued to show off his quick arm w/ quiet repeatable delivery. Fastball worked 83-85 (Max Spin: 1905 AVG: 1671) comes out of the hand clean w/ some arm side fade. Utilized tight spinning breaking ball at 70-72 (Max Spin: 2073 AVG: 1884) w/ late depth. King also showed a changeup at 70-71 w/ good hand speed. Profile projects as a top tier LHP among 2022 class w/ clean arm and intriguing skill set.

Austin Wooten LHP / OF / Stewarts Creek, TN / 2021Rankings StateRank: 76 / POS: 14
Max FB: 85 FB: 82-85 CB: 71-73 CH: 78-79 The 6-foot, 185-pound lefty opened up the 2019 Future Games getting the start against Mid-Atlantic in Game 1. Wooten showcased a solid three pitch mix to keep hitters off balanced. Fastball sat 82-85 (Max Spin: 2193 AVG: 1997) w/ some late life. He utilized the 1/7 breaking ball at 71-73 (Max Spin: 2141 AVG: 2019) to disrupt hitters’ timing, which paired nicely with changeup at 78-79 (Max Spin: 1287 AVG: 1287) w/ heavy arm side run + some depth. Showed great poise pitching through adversity. Wooten’s profile projects as steady, bulldog LHP w/ three above average offerings.

Max FB: 88 FB: 84-87 CB: 69-72 The 6-foot, 175-pound SS logged two outings over the weekend closing out games against Mid-Atlantic and Kentucky. A natural shortstop showcased some electric stuff on the bump. Fastball worked 84-87, Top 88 (Max Spin: 2339 AVG: 2072) w/ great spin and late life, paired w/ sharp breaking ball at 69-72. Showed ability to drop slot to low 3/4, maintaining velocity and adding deception. Profile projects in the field, but potentially a viable bullpen option if needed.

Max FB: 87 FB: 84-86 CB: 67-69 CH: 80-81 The 6-foot-1, 181-pound Vetetoe fulfilled various roles for Team Tennessee, seeing time at catcher, outfield, and on the mound. A natural athlete w/ great tool set moved from behind the dish to close Game 2 vs Missouri. Fastball sat 84-86, touching 87 (Max Spin: 2017 AVG: 1937) while loading up the strike zone. Vetetoe showed two good off speed in 12/6 curveball at 67-69 (CB Max Spin: 2275 AVG: 2247) w/ good depth and changeup at 80-81 w/ some sink action. Profile projects as position player, but showed great pitchability and sound three pitch mix.
