Today we will continue our ‘End of the Year’ countdown, highlighting the most viewed player profiles in Wisconsin from this year. We’ll be working our way to the top spot, starting with No. 10 and releasing the most viewed name on New Year’s Eve.

Our profiles serve as an all-in-one platform for players, hosting vendors such as verified stats, event video, contact information, and more. To create a free PBR profile, click HERE

Coming in at No. 8 on our most viewed profiles of 2022 is INF Jack Counsell (Whitefish Bay, 2023; Michigan commit). Since his standout performance at the Future Games back in 2021, Counsell has truly become one of the states best bat-to-ball hitters, regardless of class, and throughout the past year or so we have started to see more power coming from his quick right-handed bat, only adding to his already impressive prospect stock. Currently ranked No. 5 in the state's senior class and No. 454 nationally, Counsell played like it for the Blue Dukes in the spring. He helped his Whitefish Bay squad, a team that did not leave the top-spot of our Power 25 rankings until the playoffs, as he tallied a .483 batting average, which included 11 doubles, three triples, two home runs and 31 RBIs, all from the leadoff spot which makes these numbers all that more impressive.

After his productive spring in which he earned a spot on our PBR Wisconsin All-State: Second Team list, Counsell seemingly attracted attention all across the summer circuitwhile playing with a talented Hitters squad. His most recent performance in front of our staff came at the PBR at The Rock Fall Championships and there he asserted himself as a top-five player in the state, thus moving up one spot in our Wisconsin rankings, and while this one spot jump doesn’t seem like a lot he had to make some huge strides to do it. As he takes on his final prep season, he will be leaned on even more by his high school teammates after they lost a handful of players who are thriving at the college level.

All the success that Counsell has accumulated across the past couple of years has created some national buzz for him as well and he is set to attend our most prestigious event of the year, the Super 60, where he will join some of the top-talent across the country to perform in front of a number of pro scouts. Counsell has truly made a name for himself inside the state’s senior class but there is still plenty more inside his lean 6-foot, 175-pound frame and it wouldn’t be surprising to see him to hit for even more power during his senior year and even after he heads off to Ann Arbor.
