10/20/18

Voth continues to show high level athleticism both behind the plate in the outfield where his arm projects and where he may ultimately end up. His footwork in the outfield is a tick above average with enough arm strength to make accurate throws with some carry. Got a great read on a hard hit ball to the gap that he cutoff limiting the runner to a long single. On the mound he's made significant strides with his command of his three-pitch mix. He shows the ability to spot the fastball were he wants it now while his curveball is showing sharper, deeper break while showing much later. His changeup continues to develop and he's showing the ability to keep it down in the zone much better than in the past. Voth's bat continues to show the develop of more consistent power as he hammered balls to the gaps on a couple of occasions on the day. Hit a ball hard to the track that was caught in the gap for an out, but he squared the ball up without much effort in the swing.

Voth showed his versatility by standing out behind the plate and in the outfield. At 6-foot-2, 175-pounds, Voth is a wiry strong player with a frame that could easily add mass and strength and projects for added power. He registered a showcase high 98 mph exit velocity off the tee and carried that into his batting practice where he showed his present pull-side power by launching one over the right field fence. Voth keeps his barrel through the zone from a balanced setup while using his backside to drive his fast hands through the hitting zone. Voth is flexible and athletic behind the plate where he is quick out of his crouch while working low. His arm is strong and accurate while his misses are slight to the first base side.
