3/26/25
Lewis didn’t have the craziest of days on the mound or the plate, but the talent was very much on display. The final stat line was 5 IP, 8 H, 2 ER, and 6 K. The velo was present as his FB was 88-90, pairing it up with a 83-86 SL and 83-84 CH. The SL worked well off the FB as he was able to locate it on the outside black for strikes while also getting whiffs off the plate. At the plate, Lewis looked locked in with his approach. Lewis drew 2 BB in 4 PA, but took some healthy looking hacks and battled in 2 strike counts. His takes were very engaged and he never took a pitch off. He would go on to bring in the game tying single late in the ball game to end his day 1/2.
3/24/25

Lewis showed off his combination of speed and power in the win against Point Loma. He first led the game off with a triple to straight away CF in the bottom half of the 1st inning and later scored a run for the Eagles. He then in the 4th inning hit a no doubt solo shot over the LF fence that gave Granite Hills a 3-2 lead that they never lost en route to a 6-2 victory. When it was all said and done, he finished 2-3 with a 3B, HR, and a BB to reach base safely 3 times on the afternoon. Playing the premier position at SS, he showed off an accurate arm from numerous angles and really took control as the leader of the Eagles defense which is an underrated attribute as a SS. Lewis seems to do all of the little things well on top of the things that stand out like his consistent bat (.471 AVG through 6 games) and his ability as a 2-way pitcher on the mound (2-0, 0.00 ERA in 15 IP) which is what separates him as one of the best players San Diego has to offer.
