NorCal Underclass Game - A hard-hitting middle infielder who does it from the left side. Hitting tools showed up in BP first (94 mph max EV, 91.1 avg, 75% hard hit % which reflects balls hit over 90%, 70.5 mph max bat speed, 21.4 mph max hand speed) and then in game play rocked a triple over the CFs head, while also showing discerning strike zone awareness. Playmaker on defense, closes on ball well w/quick release (79 mph arm). Strong stout build w/some muscularity through the shoulders, 7.22 60-yard, 23.4" max jump height.
at Justin-Siena HS - Lead-off hitter and starting 2nd baseman; compact body type with proportional strength, made numerous plays at 2B while showing ability to go to his left and right and play on the move, showed willingness and depth on pop ups into the shallow OF with strong glove skills on those plays, lively hitting hands with ability to make routine barrel contact in just about any zone and any type of pitch, showed steady heartbeat as final hitter in the game and down to his last strike by slamming a line drive on high FB only to have it find the glove of the RF, an exciting LHH talent in the 2025 class to keep an eye on.
Positional Profile: SS/2B - A top talent in the region in the 2025 class.
Body: 5-8, 160-pounds. Compact athletic build, has hints of present strength in upper and lower body.
Hit: LHH. Deeper in box, weight slightly back early with front toe lightly touching, high hands, near hip high knee lift out to medium stride, creates powerful separation in the load. Versatile to pitches in any zone with gap pop to all fields, quick hands and outstanding timing, quiet head, hitterish with nose to toes hit-ability, gets juice from his hip turn.
Power: 90 max exit velocity, 69.1 max bat speed, 21.4 max hand speed.
Arm: RH. INF - 75 mph. Compact arm stroke, high-3/4 release, gets air under it to create some carry, competitive at SS given present grad year.
Defense: Reads ball early, closes well, plays with urgency, went to backhand confidently, plays athletically with a gritty playmaking style, soft hands and plays strong around the bag.
Run: 7.31 runner in the 60.
